My Garage Door Opener Remote Isn't Working?

This is one of our most common questions. Usually if your garage remote isn't working this is due to a connection issue or circuit board damage and is common on older or low quality remotes. Solutions include: remote replacement, remote repair, garage receiver installation or a new motor. If the remote has gradually lost power and range, this may be due to a weak or depleted battery. Batteries can be replaced and we stock a large range to suit most models.

How Do I Programme My Garage Remote?

All garage, gate and car remotes sold by The Remote Warehouse come with easy to follow remote programming instructions. Any programming should take you from a few seconds to a maximum of a few minutes.

Garage remote programming is quite straightforward and usually only requires holding down the button on the new remote while pushing the learn button on your garage opener. Car remote programming generally requires you to sit inside your car while doing a series of steps pressing buttons on the remote and/or turning the key in a specific sequence.

    Do The Remotes And Batteries Come With A Warranty?

    All purchases from The Remote Warehouse come with a 12 month warranty. Please note the warranty only covers faulty remotes and batteries. The warranty does not cover misuse or damage to the product.

    All remotes can be paid for via credit card, debit card, or bank deposit, you can choose which option you require during the check out process. We do have accounts available for trade customers and property managers.

    Please note: You do not need an account with us in order to make a purchase online.

    I Can't Find My Remote?

    We have various ways you can find your garage, gate or car remote. In the Garage Remotes and Car Remotes menus we have our top 8 brands listed, if your remote is not one of these brands please click the All Garage Remotes or All Car Remotes link to view our entire range. If you know what the brand of remote you require is, you can use our search function to find your remote. Still can't find your remote? Please email us at support@remotewarehouse.co.nz and we will let you know if we can source your model.

     Are the remotes genuine or aftermarket?

    All garage remotes supplied by us are genuine manufacturer remotes unless stated in the listing. We provide some high quality aftermarket remotes for obsolete remotes no longer made by the manufacturer. In some instances we supply aftermarket remotes that are a of high quality if we can save you the consumer money your on purchase. These remotes have been vigorously tested by us and come with a 12 month warranty.

    I chose and purchased the wrong remote. Can I send it back for an exchange or refund?

    Please read the descriptions on the remote listings carefully and email us with any questions before purchasing to ensure you choose correctly. If the remote is not compatible we will endeavor to solve the issue and supply a working remote, if no solution is found we will refund the purchase price of the remote. We provide a 12 month warranty on any faulty products and will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act - this does not cover misuse or damage to the remote or product. Please note that all remotes will be refunded less the freight cost of $7.00 per parcel.

    How is my order is sent and how long will it take?

    All of our remotes and products are sent from our Auckland based warehouse. Please note we do not allow purchase collection from our warehouse.

    We don't charge for shipping, not a dollar. All orders will be shipped in a Track & Trace courier and should be received with 1-2 working days of the order being made this includes delivery to all rural addresses and major centres including Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, Hastings, Napier, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Nelson and Dunedin.

    How do I pay?

    Our secure payment system allows you to use two methods of payment, credit card / debit card, or bank deposit. A full GST invoice will be issued upon purchase for business purposes. If you are a regular customer please feel free to talk to us about negotiating payment terms.
